one. It had been over three weeks since anyone had seen or heard from Paul Clark, yet in that time, there had been little concern in regard to his absence. It wasn’t until the morning of the incident – when a car containing Paul's naked, lifeless body rolled down a street and smashed into three other, parked vehicles – that Paul Clark became the object of loss, and his name, the topic of conversation. Paul was 32 years old. He worked as a Shipping Clerk at Lyndon Medical Supply Warehouse, and had been there for almost eight years. All accounts indicate that Paul was an adequate, well-rounded employee – he didn’t speak much, but was a good-natured sort, and his coworkers all seemed to like him. So when he called in sick that Friday morning, nothing was thought of it. And with the exception of the untouched work orders that began to pile on his desk, his absence went almost completely unnoticed. |
