The reviews were not kind. Actually, there were no reviews of
any kind; Paul’s story – and Paul, for that matter – were barely
mentioned at the warehouse that following week, or ever again. Maybe
he’d said things that his coworkers didn’t like. Or maybe they’d
genuinely lost interest in his story, having moved on to the next
attraction, the next oddity. Regardless, life continued. That week,
Paul’s office was cleaned out and a new Shipping Clerk was formally
introduced. He was a good-natured sort, and his coworkers all seemed to like
him.
